About Annie Betts

I'm passionate about helping families at all stages feel valued, understood, and connected.

Whether I'm working privately with families, training other professionals, conducting workshops, or speaking to groups, my goals are always to teach families practical skills and strategies that foster a "connection approach" to parenting and help build unconditional family cultures that will last a lifetime.

After thirty years of helping families and family businesses learn to better communicate and handle conflicts, I have discovered an often overlooked "secret" to resilient families and kids. Resilient families are raised in an unconditional family culture guided by values of connection, shared learning, problem-solving, and acceptance. Families that get stuck in conflict, distance, anger, and communication turmoil, on the other hand, have been raised in a conditional family culture where no one is sure where they belong or how to support each other.

As an attorney since 1992, a graduate of the Executive Leadership and Negotiation Program at Harvard Law School, the founder and CEO of Trinus Point Consulting, and currently completing a premier master’s program at the University of Notre Dame for global leaders researching the intersection of faith and organizational culture, I bring a wealth of experience to my work with families. I've counseled and coached thousands of multi-generational families—including many with young and school-age children—to create more harmony and trust.

I am working on a book to share the seven core values of an unconditional family culture, a 3-2-1 Resolve Method℠, and step-by-step lessons I teach to individuals and families of all ages and stages. I am also active as a board of director in numerous nonprofit organizations including the Minnesota Orchestra, Cradle of Hope, and Feeding Hungry Families. I especially enjoy spending time with my husband, four children, and puppy in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, in addition to reading, writing, travel, golf, and music.
